Actor Shia LaBeouf apparently doesn\u2019t like fame, or answering reporters. During an appearance of the premier of his new film, “Nymphomaniac, Volume 1,” LaBeouf wore a paper bag over his head with cutouts for eyes to accompany his tuxedo. Written in black marker was \u201cI am not famous anymore,\u201d on the red carpet in Berlin Sunday.<\/p>\n

LaBeouf said his actions were performance art, and nothing else.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old echoed the same words on his Twitter account in mid January after announcing he was retiring from public life. LaBeouf was\u00a0accused of plagiarizing from Justin M. Damiano\u2019s comic story with his own short Howardcantour.com.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s speculated that the Damiano incident fueled LaBeouf\u2019s riff with fame.<\/p>\n

LaBeouf, who is known for his roles in “Transformers” and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull,” abruptly left a press conference before the premier. Fellow cast members Uma Thurman,\u00a0Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard, Stacy Martin, and producer <\/strong>Louise Vesth all appeared stunned.<\/p>\n

The actor wore a dingy beige ball cap, looked fatigued, had a scratch on his cheek, and was missing a bottom tooth. He responded to one question regarding his many sex scenes in the movie, and then quoted soccer player Eric Cantona, who caused a stir\u00a0after kicking a fan in\u00a01995.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much, \u201d and LaBeouf left the media room.<\/p>\n

Thurman laughed and the panel applauded after LaBeouf\u2019s departure.<\/p>\n
