Singer and outspoken conservative personality Joy Villa is opening up in a deeply personal new interview about her dramatic journey out of Scientology and back to Christianity \u2014 a transformation she says ultimately saved her life.<\/p>\n

Villa, known for making headlines with politically charged red carpet outfits and bold public statements, recently shared her testimony on The Bible Bros Podcast<\/em>, where she spoke candidly about trauma, spiritual confusion, and the moment she cried out to Jesus after years inside Scientology.<\/p>\n

“I grew up Christian, born again, saved, evangelical,” Villa explained. “My dad was a minister.”<\/p>\n

But despite being raised in a faith-filled home, Villa said painful childhood experiences began shaping her emotional and spiritual struggles at a very young age. The singer revealed she suffered sexual abuse as a child, something she believes opened the door to years of darkness and emotional pain.<\/p>\n

“That sort of opened up a world of demonic feelings,” she said. “I would have dark feelings, feelings I shouldn’t be here.”<\/p>\n

Villa described growing up isolated and wrestling with suicidal thoughts while also pursuing her dreams of becoming a singer and actress in Hollywood. As she entered the entertainment industry in her late teens and early 20s, she said the pressures and instability of life in Los Angeles left her vulnerable and searching for a sense of belonging.<\/p>\n

That search eventually led her to Scientology.<\/p>\n

Initially skeptical, Villa said she was drawn in after being invited to the church’s Celebrity Center in Hollywood while working a runway event. What started as free classes and personality tests slowly became something much deeper.<\/p>\n

“They’re smiling, they’re bright, they’re clean, they’re shaking your hand,” Villa recalled. “You’re so traumatized in Hollywood \u2026 and you’re like, ‘Oh wow, you’re giving me a chance.'”<\/p>\n

The church offered acting classes, seminars, and a sense of community \u2014 something Villa desperately craved after losing both of her parents at a young age.<\/p>\n

“They kind of suck you in with this community,” she said. “They’re like, ‘Oh, we’ll be your family.'”<\/p>\n

Over time, Villa said she became heavily immersed in Scientology and eventually spent 15 years inside the organization. She described the process as subtle and deceptive.<\/p>\n

“It’s like boiling the frog very slowly,” she said. “You don’t realize it until it’s too late.”<\/p>\n

Villa also said some people within Scientology claimed to be Christians, which blurred spiritual lines for her and added to the confusion she was already experiencing.<\/p>\n

Eventually, though, she said the deeper she went, the darker things became. Villa now believes “the roots of Scientology are witchcraft” and called the experience “extremely dark.”<\/p>\n

The singer described working exhausting hours, spending massive amounts of money trying to advance within the organization, and hearing what she described as tormenting voices telling her she was worthless.<\/p>\n

“It works in the beginning,” she said. “But the cost will destroy you.”<\/p>\n

Villa said the emotional and spiritual weight finally became unbearable. In one of her lowest moments, she collapsed on her kitchen floor, crying out to God.<\/p>\n

“I broke down on my kitchen floor, and I cried, and I said, ‘Jesus help me,'” she recalled. “Because I would have ended my life.”<\/p>\n

That desperate prayer marked the beginning of her exit from Scientology and her return to Christianity. Villa said she left the organization three years ago and has since recommitted her life to Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n

“I’m born again and out of Scientology,” she said. “I’m reborn again, rebaptized, gave my life over to Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior.”<\/p>\n

Villa also revealed that more than 100 people she had introduced to Scientology eventually left after she walked away herself \u2014 something she now sees as part of God’s redemption story.<\/p>\n

Today, Villa says she openly shares her testimony to warn others about spiritual deception, pride, and the dangers she believes exist within Scientology and celebrity culture.<\/p>\n

“Praise God, He set me free,” she said. “I lost a lot. But I found Jesus again. I’m the sheep. He left the 99 to find one.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
