R&B singer Chris Brown is celebrating a new academic honor after receiving an honorary doctorate from a Dallas-based private Christian university, though the recognition is also drawing scrutiny online over the school’s accreditation status.<\/p>\n

Brown, 37, shared photos on Instagram showing himself dressed in academic regalia while accepting an honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Visual & Performing Arts from Harvest Christian University. The singer captioned the post, “I DID A THING!”<\/p>\n
