Aaron Carter\u2019s legacy may soon be cemented in one of entertainment\u2019s most iconic landmarks \u2014 and his mother is asking fans to help make it happen.<\/p>\n

Jane Carter Schneck has launched a GoFundMe<\/a> campaign with the goal of raising $85,000 to secure a star for her late son on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Speaking to TMZ,<\/em> Schneck said she plans to submit the official application before the May 15 deadline, noting that the process requires both approval from the selection committee and a sponsorship fee.<\/p>\n

For Schneck, the effort is deeply personal. She said Carter \u201cwould\u2019ve loved\u201d the idea and recalled walking along Hollywood Boulevard with him when he was just a child. During one of those trips, she told her son, \u201cYou\u2019re going to be there someday.\u201d According to Schneck, Carter confidently replied, \u201cYeah.\u201d<\/p>\n

The GoFundMe page echoes that sense of purpose, stating that the funds will go toward \u201cthe creation, installation, and long-term maintenance of the star.\u201d It adds, \u201cWe are coming together as fans, friends, and supporters to honor Aaron Carter\u2019s legacy\u2026 Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The campaign also encourages those who can\u2019t contribute financially to share the fundraiser, emphasizing that support of any kind matters. \u201cIf you\u2019re unable to give, sharing this campaign means just as much,\u201d the page reads. \u201cLet\u2019s come together to celebrate Aaron\u2019s life, his music, and the lasting mark he left on so many hearts.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of now, only a small portion of the goal has been raised, but Schneck remains hopeful that Carter\u2019s fans will rally behind the effort. His siblings, including Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter and twin sister Angel, are reportedly supportive of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Aaron Carter rose to fame in the late 1990s as a teen pop sensation, releasing his self-titled debut album in 1997. He quickly became a household name with hits like \u201cAaron\u2019s Party (Come Get It),\u201d \u201cThat\u2019s How I Beat Shaq,\u201d and his cover of \u201cI Want Candy.\u201d He toured with major acts like the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears before launching his own headlining tour.<\/p>\n

Beyond music, Carter also built a career in acting, appearing on shows like Lizzie McGuire, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and 7th Heaven, as well as films including Fat Albert and Popstar. He even made his Broadway debut in Seussical the Musical in 2001.<\/p>\n

In later years, Carter explored new creative directions, including releasing his fifth studio album, L\u00d8V\u00cb, in 2018. Despite personal struggles, his influence on a generation of young fans remained undeniable.<\/p>\n

Carter died on Nov. 5, 2022, at the age of 34. He was found in a bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner later ruled his death an accidental drowning after inhaling difluoroethane and taking alprazolam.<\/p>\n

He is survived by his son, Prince Lyric Carter, who was born in November 2021.<\/p>\n
