Houston Texans star Will Anderson Jr. is making headlines not just for his record-setting contract\u2014but for the unwavering faith he says got him there.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old All-Pro defensive end recently signed a three-year, $150 million extension, making him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history. But when Anderson stepped up to the podium to address reporters, his focus wasn’t on the money\u2014it was on Jesus.<\/p>\n

Wearing a cross around his neck, Anderson opened his press conference<\/a> with a bold declaration: “Thank you, Jesus.” He continued, “I owe all I am to you\u2026 Thank you for blessing me and keeping me and holding me together all these years. Without you, I am nothing.”<\/p>\n

His words were filled with gratitude and conviction, reflecting a deep-rooted faith that he says has guided every step of his journey. “You have truly been gracious and loving to me,” Anderson said. “I love you, and I will always glorify your name.”<\/p>\n

The former Alabama standout also reflected on how his faith began shaping his path early on. He recalled realizing his talent in high school and sensing God’s direction in his life. “Then God was like, ‘OK, we can go to college,'” he said with a smile.<\/p>\n

Anderson pointed to Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans, another outspoken Christian, as a key influence, saying his faith “spreads throughout the whole locker room.” He also shared a powerful experience visiting a San Francisco prison with the ministry God Behind Bars, where he witnessed what he described as incredibly strong faith among inmates.<\/p>\n

“These guys are facing life\u2026 but their faith was so strong in Jesus Christ,” Anderson said. “They’re like, ‘the one thing that I can cling onto is my faith.'”<\/p>\n

In a league often defined by contracts, stats, and status, Anderson’s message stands out. For him, success isn’t measured in dollars\u2014but in obedience to God’s calling.<\/p>\n
