The death of legendary actress Catherine O\u2019Hara has prompted an outpouring of grief, including a deeply personal tribute from her Home Alone co-star Macaulay Culkin. The Emmy-winning actress, who died at age 71 on January 30th, was remembered not only for her iconic roles on screen, but for the warmth and care she showed off camera \u2014 especially to the child actor who once played her son and later came to see her as a true maternal presence in his life.<\/p>\n

After news broke that beloved actress Catherine O\u2019Hara had died at age 71, her “Home Alone” co-star Macaulay Culkin shared a deeply emotional tribute that resonated with fans around the world \u2014 especially those who grew up watching the holiday classic as a family tradition.<\/p>\n

\u201cMama. I thought we had time,\u201d Culkin wrote in an Instagram post alongside side-by-side photos of the two of them, one from “Home Alone” and another taken decades later in 2023. \u201cI wanted more. I wanted to sit in a chair next to you. I heard you but I had so much more to say. I love you. I\u2019ll see you later.\u201d<\/p>\n
