In the heartwarming images, a young Meadow sits on a kitchen counter while Paul holds up a butterfly-shaped birthday cake for her to blow out the candles. In another photo, the two share a sweet kiss, and in the third, she flashes a big grin as her dad looks up at her, smiling.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c12 years without you. I love you forever,\u201d Meadow captioned the post.<\/p>\n<p>The images struck an emotional chord with fans and friends alike. Meadow was just 15 years old at the time.<\/p>\n<p>Since his passing, she\u2019s made it her mission to carry on his legacy \u2014 not only through her personal memories but also through her work with the Paul Walker Foundation, which honors her father\u2019s \u201clove for the ocean.\u201d Her uncle, Cody Walker, told <em>PEOPLE<\/em> ahead of the 10th anniversary of Paul\u2019s death that his niece \u201chas grabbed the torch\u201d and that her father would be \u201cso proud\u201d of the woman she\u2019s become.<\/p>\n<p>Meadow has shared over the years that she still feels connected to her dad in small but powerful ways. \u201cI swear whenever I\u2019m doubting anything or whenever I\u2019m in an argument with someone or anything, I start seeing four and seven everywhere,\u201d she told <em>E! News<\/em> in 2023. \u201cSo I always know that it\u2019s him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cEven yesterday, I was having a moment and then the clock bells started ringing. And I was like, \u2018OK, it\u2019s all good, it\u2019s gonna be OK.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The model also finds comfort in revisiting her father\u2019s movies. \u201cThey always say the first thing you forget about someone is their voice, so I\u2019m fortunate enough to have his voice in many movies,\u201d she told <em>Page Six<\/em> in 2022. \u201cFor me, it brings me joy to talk about him and keep his spirit alive.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Meadow also marked what would have been her dad\u2019s 52nd birthday with another throwback photo. \u201cHappy birthday daddy.
