It was no ordinary Sunday for Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter. Just hours before stepping onto the field to face the Seattle Seahawks, the first-year wide receiver and cornerback made a life-changing decision\u2014he was baptized.<\/p>\n

Hunter, who gained national attention at the University of Colorado for playing both offense and defense, has been steadily carving out his role in the NFL. While the Jaguars are carefully easing him into professional play, it’s clear he brings more than just versatility on the field. Off the field, he’s showing that his faith is the foundation of who he is.<\/p>\n

A Morning That Changed Everything<\/h3>\n

On the morning of the October matchup, instead of simply resting or stretching, Hunter headed to Celebration Church in Jacksonville, Florida. There, he publicly declared his faith in Jesus Christ through baptism.<\/p>\n

A video of the moment, captured by churchgoer Kristine Love, quickly began circulating online. Love explained that she had been running late that morning\u2014only to arrive in time to witness something extraordinary.<\/p>\n

“Couldn’t find my keys this morning and was late for church, only to come upon Jacksonville Jaguars Travis Hunter getting baptized!” she wrote on Instagram. “He asked to come get baptized before today’s game. Thank you, Jesus, for touching this young man’s life.”<\/p>\n
