Libs of TikTok shared a post featuring clips from the now-canceled animated Netflix cartoon, Dead End: Paranormal Park<\/em>. The show aired for two seasons on Netflix from June to October 2022. In the post<\/a>, Libs of TikTok warned that the show was \u201cpushing pro-transgender on CHILDREN.\u201d \u201cParents- BEWARE,\u201d the account added, noting that the show was marketed to children as young as seven. The clip features a character admitting to being trans to another character.<\/p>\n

In another post, Libs of TikTok revealed that the show\u2019s creator, Hamish Steele, had also made disparaging remarks about Charlie Kirk after he was assassinated. \u201cYou will never guess who the creator of this show is\u2026 a he\/they lgbtq bluesky fan who mocked Charlie\u2019s m*rder and called him a nazi Is anyone surprised??\u201d wrote Libs of TikTok<\/a>. In his post, Steele wrote, \u201cWhy the f\u2014 are you even commenting on this, d\u2014head\u2026a random nazi gets shot and it\u2019s a public statement.\u201d He has denied that he ever celebrated Kirk\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

Further attention was brought on the show and a bevy of other \u201cwoke\u201d content featured on Netflix when Elon Musk shared another Libs of TikTok post featuring Netflix\u2019s \u201cinclusion and diversity report.\u201d \u201c[T]hey celebrate that the percentage of racially underrepresented directors and lead characters has been growing significantly over the past few years. Why doesn\u2019t netflix hire based on qualifications instead of skin color??\u201d wrote Libs of TikTok<\/a>. In his repost, Musk added, \u201cCancel Netflix.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since then, social media has been abuzz with clips of woke programming at Netflix. Commentator Ian Miles Cheong shared a clip<\/a> from Cocomelon Lane of two gay dads encouraging their son to dance for them in a tutu. Libs of TikTok shared a clip<\/a> from Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, another kids show, which features two women announcing their love for one another and kissing. \u201cIsn\u2019t it just supposed to be about dinosaurs? How many of these lgbtq propaganda shows are there on @netflix???\u201d Writing an op-ed for USA Today<\/em>, mother of four, Nicole Russell, questioned why only conservatives seem worried about sexual content aimed at children. \u201cThe strangest part about these shows is that they are made to entertain children, but this isn’t typical children’s content. It is actually quite rare for young children to question their gender identity or sexual orientation, especially prior to puberty,\u201d wrote Russell, sharing statistics on the low amount of people with gender dysphoria who begin to question their gender at a young age and that many that do usually stop after puberty.<\/p>\n

The calls for a boycott seem to have been effective. According to Forbes<\/em><\/a>, stock in Netflix had dropped 2.2% since Wednesday. \u201cLosing It,\u201d wrote John Cremeans on X<\/a>. \u201cNetflix has lost OVER $15 BILLION in market value since users began canceling their subscriptions in protest of its \u201cWoke\u201d content.
