Pop star Michael Bubl\u00e9 is known for his smooth voice and timeless hits, but in a recent interview, he shared something even more meaningful than music \u2014 his perspective on what it truly means to be “rich.”<\/p>\n

In a clip from the Diary of a CEO<\/em> podcast<\/a> with Steven Bartlett, which has been widely shared on social media, the Crazy Love<\/em> singer said the real treasure in life is not material possessions but faith, family, and meaningful relationships.<\/p>\n

“Rich isn’t what you think it is, kid,” Bubl\u00e9 explained. “That word, ‘rich,’ that your friends use \u2014 rich, it sounds like money, and stuff, and things, and Lamborghinis, and tickets to go see Messi. That’s not rich.”<\/p>\n

Instead, he defined true richness this way: “Rich is having a strong faith. Rich is having a great family and loving your family. Rich is having great friendships. Because those ‘rich’ things they’re talking about \u2014 the money \u2014 the people that I know that have the most stuff are the most miserable people that I know.”<\/p>\n

Bubl\u00e9’s perspective doesn’t come without personal trials. In 2016, his son Noah, then just three years old, was diagnosed with liver cancer. The devastating news led Bubl\u00e9 to step away from his career to focus entirely on his family. Today, Noah remains cancer-free, but the experience profoundly shaped the singer’s outlook on life.<\/p>\n

“I don’t think I had my priorities straight,” he admitted, reflecting on that season. “I will never be carefree again.”<\/p>\n

This painful chapter helped clarify what really matters most. As he put it, “It doesn’t take long to realize that life has nothing to do with stuff. We’re all sitting on that deathbed. We’re all gonna die \u2014 every single one of us. And nobody looks back and says, ‘I wish I’d collected more stuff.'”<\/p>\n

While Bubl\u00e9 often speaks about faith, he also clearly does not consider himself a religious Christian in the traditional sense. In a 2023 interview<\/a> with The Guardian<\/em>, he explained, “I wouldn’t call myself a God-fearing Christian. I wouldn’t classify myself as a religious person. I am not afraid of it. I have a really wonderful and personal relationship with my faith. But it’s not a heavy thing, I’m just not that guy.”<\/p>\n

Still, his comments resonate deeply with many Christians who know that true wealth isn’t found in bank accounts or accolades, but in trusting God, cherishing family, and walking in meaningful community.<\/p>\n
