For years, Kevin Sorbo felt like a Hollywood outcast. Best known for his starring role in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys<\/em>, the actor says he was unofficially blacklisted more than a decade ago for openly sharing his conservative and Christian beliefs.<\/p>\n

“I’m the first cancel culture victim before I even knew it was a term,” Sorbo told Fox News Digital<\/em> in a recent interview. “Hollywood booted me up a dozen years ago for things I was posting on the internet\u2026 They hate anybody who’s a Christian in Hollywood, anybody who is a conservative. So I’m like a double leper to them.”<\/p>\n

Now 66, Sorbo says he’s witnessing a surprising shift in the entertainment world\u2014one that he credits in part to former President Donald Trump’s return to political prominence. While many in Hollywood still publicly criticize Trump, Sorbo believes industry leaders are privately reevaluating their stance.<\/p>\n

“I think with Trump in office again right now, there’s definitely a shift,” Sorbo said. “People will hate him in front, but those people that hate him, they’re gonna see their lives get better. Trust me.”<\/p>\n

After parting ways with the traditional Hollywood machine, Sorbo and his wife, Sam, created their own production company\u2014Sorbo Studios\u2014and have since been steadily producing faith-based and family-friendly films. Sorbo says he’s been making at least four movies a year, including his 2010 film What If\u2026<\/em>, which is being re-released in theaters on August 5 and 7 for its 15th anniversary.<\/p>\n

The film, co-starring Kristy Swanson, John Ratzenberger, and Debby Ryan, tells the story of a man who turns his back on God only to be given a second chance to live out the life he was meant for\u2014as a husband, father, and pastor. Sorbo says the message is even more needed today.<\/p>\n

“That’s what Hollywood used to put out there,” he reflected. “Movies that had hope and love and laughter and redemption and faith. And I think they’re waking up a little bit now because they’re losing a lot of money on this woke insanity.”<\/p>\n

According to Sorbo, even major players like Netflix and Amazon are beginning to show interest in his work again, as audiences increasingly reject divisive messaging in favor of uplifting stories.<\/p>\n

“I’m reaching out to Netflix and Amazon with a couple of scripts,” Sorbo shared. “They’re not in your face about faith, but the messages are there. There’s a positive message instead of negative ones.”<\/p>\n

The actor believes the shift is not just financial, but cultural and spiritual. He pointed to massive losses from recent big-budget films like Disney’s controversial Snow White<\/em> remake as a wake-up call for the industry.<\/p>\n

“Hollywood’s tired of losing money\u2026 I think the American people are fed up,” Sorbo said. “They said enough is enough of this stuff.”<\/p>\n

While he remains cautious, Sorbo is hopeful. “I think we’ve reached a tipping point,” he said.<\/p>\n
