Christian recording artist Forrest Frank is turning a painful setback into a powerful testimony \u2014 and a viral worship anthem.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the 30-year-old “Good Day” singer revealed<\/a> he fractured his L3 and L4 vertebrae in a skateboarding accident while spending time with his 2-year-old son, Bodie. A doorbell camera captured the moment Frank fell hard onto the edge of a sidewalk, slamming his lower back.<\/p>\n

But instead of dwelling on the pain, Frank grabbed his phone \u2014 and his faith.<\/p>\n

“Two days ago, I fractured my L3 and L4,” Frank shared in a video post, captioning it: “Turning lemons into lemonade.” From his bed, unable to move much, he began writing a song, saying, “I think I’m gonna just sing whatever pops out, and I’m gonna build the chords around it.”<\/p>\n

What followed was nothing short of Spirit-led inspiration.<\/p>\n

Within just three hours, Frank had written a song that resonated deeply with his followers. With a simple melody and heartfelt lyrics, he proclaimed:<\/p>\n

“God’s got my back \/ Even when I fall or get attacked \/ Even when I’m low and full of lack \/ Even when my soul is full of sorrow \/ I don’t have to worry about tomorrow.”<\/p>\n

The raw, faith-filled lyrics quickly went viral, drawing support from fellow Christian artists. “That joint sounds dope,” commented rapper Lecrae. “Welp. Epitome of no excuses. Insane bro,” added singer Colton Dixon.<\/p>\n

In a follow-up post<\/a>, Frank shared more behind-the-scenes footage, including his wife Grace helping him inside after the fall. “It was just a casual session with my 2-year-old so I didn’t even think to put a helmet on (hindsight is 20\/20),” he wrote. “Thankful to God that it wasn’t any worse. Will be lying in bed for a while\u2026 so sorry, Grace.”<\/p>\n

He also acknowledged the divine timing of the moment. “God is clearly breathing on this one,” Frank said, noting the viral response the song has received across TikTok and social media.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Frank has turned trial into testimony. In an earlier interview, he shared how his breakout hit “Good Day” preceded one of the darkest seasons of his life. “Three days after that song came out, I went through the hardest trial of my life,” he recalled. “But God gave me that song in advance to remind me: I’m still going to have a good day because He’s in it.”<\/p>\n

Frank first gained recognition as part of the surf-pop duo Surfaces before emerging as a solo artist and worship leader. His 2024 solo album Child of God<\/em> soared to No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart, and at this year’s GMA Dove Awards, he was named New Artist of the Year.
