Breanna Nix, a 25-year-old Christian mother from Denton, Texas, has secured her spot in the top three on American Idol<\/em> after a series of showstopping performances during Disney Week. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Nix took to social media to express her appreciation for her supporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cI seriously have no words \u2026 I\u2019m just so overwhelmed with gratitude,\u201d Nix wrote on Facebook after learning she made it to the finale. \u201cThis has been the most insane, amazing experience of my life. I\u2019ve pushed myself in ways I didn\u2019t even know I could, and to be in the TOP 3 because of YOUR votes?? That blows my mind. Thank you for believing in me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The talented singer performed \u201cThis Will Be (An Everlasting Love)\u201d from The Parent Trap<\/em> and \u201cYou\u2019ll Be in My Heart\u201d from Tarzan<\/em> during Disney Week, earning her place among the top three. She will join fellow contestants John Foster and Jamal Roberts in the finale, while Slater Nalley and Thunderstorm Artis were eliminated after 19 million votes were cast.<\/p>\n

Nix\u2019s powerful performance of \u201cYou\u2019ll Be in My Heart\u201d moved the judges. Luke Bryan praised her vocal control, and Lionel Richie commended her emotional delivery. Carrie Underwood, fighting back tears, said, \u201cYou just look like you belong exactly where you are.\u201d<\/p>\n

Throughout her journey on American Idol<\/em>, Nix has been open about her faith, using the platform to minister to viewers and share her love for God. She has performed worship songs such as Brandon Lake\u2019s \u201cGratitude\u201d and Underwood\u2019s \u201cJesus Take the Wheel.\u201d Despite facing criticism online for expressing her beliefs, Nix remains steadfast in her faith.<\/p>\n

\u201cBeing a Christian, there [are] a lot of opinions that come with it,\u201d Nix shared in a conversation with Fantasia, who was coaching her. \u201cYou know, \u2018That\u2019s not what a Christian should wear,\u2019 or, \u2018That Christian shouldn\u2019t sing a song like that.\u2019\u201d She added that some comments even questioned her faith, but she continues to focus on her relationship with God.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on her journey, Nix said, \u201cI\u2019ve gotten so much closer to God through this experience. I\u2019ve been able to witness to so many people and minister more than I ever thought possible, and God is just truly so good.\u201d<\/p>\n

As the last remaining female contestant, Nix is set to return to her hometown for a celebratory parade and live concert on the Denton Square, which will be filmed for the American Idol<\/em> finale on May 18.<\/p>\n

\u201cI made it to the #Top3 because of YOU. Every vote, every message, every bit of love, I feel it all. THANK YOU,\u201d Nix wrote on social media.<\/p>\n

With her faith at the center of her journey, Nix remains humble, emphasizing, \u201cIt\u2019s not me, it\u2019s God.\u201d The finale will also feature performances from stars like the Goo Goo Dolls, Patti LaBelle, Kirk Franklin, and judges Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, and Lionel Richie.<\/p>\n
