Popularized by the DC Talk song, the idea of Jesus Freaks is people who are sold out for Christ. Ally Yost and Ashley Hetherington are two young YouTubers hoping to turn their generation around for Christ. The two have started the YouTube channel \u201cJesus Freaks\u201d where they feature their new series by the same name. The series follows their lives as two Christian women living in Los Angeles. The pair sat with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.crosswalk.com\/culture\/television\/meet-the-2-influencers-turning-gen-z-into-a-new-generation-of-jesus-freaks.html\"><em>CBN<\/em><\/a> to discuss what brought them together.<\/p>\n<p>The two had their own separate social media following prior to teaming up and their own calls to ministry. \u201cGrowing up, I would watch these shows where people would be partying and doing things that were not godly. And I would go, &#8216;Okay, when I grow up, I&#8217;m going to do that because that&#8217;s what you do,\u2019\u201d said Heatherington. \u201cAnd so, the Lord put a burden on my heart for this next gen, because they don&#8217;t have much to look to, except for what culture is saying.&#8221; The two ended up connecting through Instagram and decided to combine their shared love of Christ and outreach. \u201cI think it was one of those things where we both were doing the same thing -online ministry and just talking about our faith. I had seen Ashley&#8217;s content, and she had already seen mine, and we connected, and we just were each other&#8217;s hype girls,\u201d said Yost.<\/p>\n<p>The two have already finished one season and are preparing for season 2. \u201cWe\u2019re kind of in the beginning stages of finding a production house. It\u2019s a lot of work for just the two of us, so we would love to find a team,\u201d said Jost. The two hope that some day they could be picked up by a bigger streaming platform to increase their opportunities for evangelism. \u201cOur dream is to have it available on a streaming platform where unbelievers have access to it, because we want it to be something where unbelievers can go, \u2018Oh, I\u2019m bored, I have nothing to watch. I could watch these JESUS FREAKS.\u2019 And then they end up finding joy and positivity from it,\u201d said Heatherington.<\/p>\n<p>One person impacted by their ministry is Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards\u2019 daughter, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.beliefnet.com\/columnists\/idolchatter\/2025\/01\/jesus-saved-me-charlie-sheen-and-denise-richards-daughter-shares-powerful-testimony-after-baptism.html\">Lola Sheen<\/a>. While her mother and younger sister are an OnlyFans duo, Sheen saw one of Yost\u2019s social media posts.
