After Seth Rogen\u2019s former collaborator and friend\u00a0James Franco\u00a0revealed they were no longer on speaking terms, Rogen is finally sharing his reaction to the headline-making revelation.<\/p>\n

Franco spoke about their current relationship status during an interview with Variety in October. \u201cNo. I haven\u2019t talked to Seth. I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it\u2019s over,\u201d Franco mentioned. \u201cAnd not for lack of trying. I\u2019ve told him how much he\u2019s meant to me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogen, however, seems unaffected by Franco’s comments.<\/p>\n

In a new Esquire<\/a><\/em> article, Rogen was asked about the experience of having a personal matter become public. Interviewer Dave Holmes noted that Rogen was expecting the question but didn’t seem pleased about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn\u2019t on my radar,\u201d Rogen said regarding Franco\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n

Holmes added, \u201cThat is all he wants to say about that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rogen and Franco rose to fame together in Hollywood, initially appearing in the short-lived \u201990s show “Freaks and Geeks.” They gained popularity with \u201cPineapple Express\u201d and collaborated on other films like \u201cThis Is the End,\u201d \u201cThe Interview,\u201d and \u201cThe Disaster Artist,\u201d which Franco directed in 2017. The latter was their last project together.<\/p>\n

In 2018, Franco was accused of sexual misconduct by several former students from his acting school. The actor was accused of coercing students into inappropriate situations. Franco denied these claims and settled a lawsuit with his accusers in February 2021.<\/p>\n

In May of the same year, Rogen expressed regret over his 2018 comments about continuing to work with Franco.<\/p>\n

\u201cI also look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now,\u201d Rogen told The Times.<\/em><\/p>\n

When asked if their personal relationship had ended, Rogen, known for Superbad, said, \u201cErm, I don\u2019t know if I can define that right now during this interview. I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic.\u201d<\/p>\n

When the interviewer remarked that the situation must have been difficult, Rogen replied, \u201cYeah. But not as painful and difficult as it is for a lot of other people involved. I have no pity for myself in this situation.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
