A&E<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

A&EA&E has announced<\/a> that it will be reviving the popular \u201cDuck Dynasty\u201d franchise in a new 20 episode, two season follow up entitled \u201cDuck Dynasty: Revival.\u201d According to the announcement, the show will air summer 2025. According to A&E, the show will follow, \u201cWillie and Korie [Robertson] and their growing family of adult children and grandchildren, the next generation of Robertsons living on the family homestead in Louisiana.\u201d The show ran previously for 11 seasons on A&E, starting in March 2012, before the Robertson family decided to end the show in 2017 to focus on other ventures. \u201cThe Robertsons earned a seat in homes across the country with their unique brand of downhome practicality, southern charm and relatable humor. Duck Dynasty\u2019 played a huge part of the success of A&E for many years, and we look forward to reuniting with the Robertsons on the revival,\u201d said Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President & Head of Programming, A&E and Lifetime. The family also became very well-known for their strong faith, which featured prominently in the original series.<\/p>\n

The announcement also promised the return of fan-favorites such as Si Robertson, better-known as \u201cUncle Si\u201d and his sister, Kay Robertson. Willie and Korie’s children<\/a>\u00a0John Luke, Sadie, Will, Bella, and Rebecca will also make appearances. Willie and Korie also adopted a son, Rowdy Robertson, in 2016, although he was not mentioned in the press release. When the show began, the Robertson children were all still growing up, so this new reboot will get to catch up with them as they focus on married life and parenthood. One notable name missing from the lineup is family patriarch Phil Robertson<\/a>, who the family revealed was struggling with an Alzheimer\u2019s diagnosis and blood disorder. His son, Jase Robertson, shared<\/a> about his father\u2019s health struggles. \u201cPhil\u2019s not doing well. I think I spoke on the 1,000th podcast, we were trying to figure out the diagnosis, but according to the doctors, he has some sort of blood disease causing all kinds of problems. It\u2019s like accelerated, and it\u2019s causing problems with his entire body. And he has the early stages of Alzheimer\u2019s. So, if you put those things together, he\u2019s really not doing well. He\u2019s struggling.\u201d<\/p>\n

Willie and Korie stated they were excited to be rebooting the series after so many years. \u201cGoing back on A&E feels a little like going back home.
