As a young actress in Hollywood, Candace Cameron Bure encountered her share of awkward moments.<\/p>\n

The “Full House” star, who played DJ Tanner for eight seasons, recently shared details about one such moment –\u00a0 her first on-screen kiss with co-star Scott Curtis in front of a live studio audience during the ’90s sitcom.<\/p>\n

“I remember it was very embarrassing in that I knew my parents were standing off to the side watching it,” Bure recalled about her kiss with Curtis’s character, Kevin Gwin, in the 1990 episode 13 Candles. “There were about 200 people watching, plus the camera crew, producers, directors, and other actors on stage.”<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the experience, Bure said, “I remember I was just blushing, thinking, ‘Oh my goodness, I’m about to have my first kiss at 13 years old.’ It wasn’t the act that was embarrassing, but as a teenager, everything feels awkward. When Scott was cast, he was sweet and cute, and we enjoyed working together, so I thought it would be fine.”<\/p>\n

The Great American Family actress mentioned that they didn’t rehearse the kiss. “When it came time to film, we went in for that peck. I think Scott talked about us giving each other breath spray, trying to keep it light and fun to ease our nerves. It was all very innocent.”<\/p>\n

“As a parent now, I think about how embarrassing it must be for my kids to have their first kiss in front of hundreds of people and knowing millions will watch it,” she added.<\/p>\n

During an appearance on “Full House” alums Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber’s podcast, “How Rude, Tanneritos!” Curtis talked about his first kiss with Bure. “I was excited to get the audition, and they said I was going to be Candace’s first kiss,” Curtis said. “During the table read, I took it seriously because it was a significant moment.”<\/p>\n

“Throughout the week, you could feel the anticipation,” he continued. “The night we filmed, we did it with and without the audience because [“Full House” creator] Jeff Franklin wanted a take with the audience reaction.”<\/p>\n

Curtis said the experience helped them build a strong friendship. “After the episodes, Candace and I became friends,” he shared. “We would talk on the phone, giggle, laugh, and have fun. The last thing we said to each other was, \u2018See you at the wrap party.\u2019”<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Bure discussed her close bond with her “Full House” castmates, including John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Sweetin, Barber, and the late Bob Saget. “We’re all close friends and keep in touch constantly. I find it amusing when the media calls it a reunion because we’re really just family hanging out,” she told Fox News Digital<\/em>. “But sometimes we do that publicly.”<\/p>\n

Today, Bure, who became the chief creative officer for the Great American Family Channel in 2022, is focused on creating family and faith-centered content.<\/p>\n

Her passion? Christmas!<\/p>\n

“I’ve been making Christmas content for 15 years now, and it’s second nature,” said Bure. “I’m known for these Christmas movies, and I genuinely love creating them. My joy for Christmas makes it feel natural to celebrate it year-round.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
