Renowned Christian singer-songwriter Lauren Daigle has released a powerful new song, “Then I Will<\/a>,” as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming film Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Spy, Assassin<\/em>, set to hit theaters on November 22. The song, now available on streaming platforms, was written to honor Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German theologian and anti-Nazi dissident who stood courageously for his faith even to the point of death.<\/p>\n

Bonhoeffer’s life has inspired countless believers, and Eric Metaxas’ 2011 biography brought renewed attention to his story. The upcoming film adaptation, produced by Angel Studios\u2014famous for The Chosen<\/em>\u2014brings Bonhoeffer’s legacy to the big screen, diving into his remarkable journey and his enduring impact on Christian faith and moral courage<\/p>\n

“When I read the book Bonhoeffer<\/em>, I never expected to one day write a song for the film adaptation,” Daigle shared with her fans on X. “I’m thrilled to be part of this project.” The lyrics of Then I Will<\/em> echo Bonhoeffer’s commitment to God’s will over his own life: “I’ll surrender everything \/ All for Your will \/ Abandon every part of me \/ All for Your will \/ No matter what the cost will be \/ If it’s for me to die for love \/ Then I will.” These words reflect Bonhoeffer’s determination to stand up for justice, even as it cost him his life.<\/p>\n
