Kelly Stafford admitted that jealousy got the better of her as Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u2019s relationship dominated the NFL spotlight.<\/p>\n

Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, recently spoke about her feelings toward Taylor Swift’s popularity in the NFL. Despite previous comments suggesting otherwise, she clarified her stance on Swift, who is currently dating NFL star Travis Kelce.<\/p>\n

On her podcast, “The Morning After<\/a>,” Stafford discussed the perception that she had issues with Swift, which seemed to arise from remarks made in May. At that time, she expressed her frustration over the media attention the couple received last season.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t know if I want to see another four months of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce coverage,” she said back then, according to the New York Post.<\/p>\n

However, Kelly and her family attended The Eras Tour in New Orleans, which led her to set the record straight.<\/p>\n

“I have never once said that I don\u2019t like Taylor Swift, ever. But I will say I kind of got tired of the Chiefs’ coverage of it, actually, the NFL\u2019s coverage of this budding relationship last year. And can she do anything about that? No, she can\u2019t. You know what, it was a good business decision for the NFL, but I almost felt like it was outshining the games, and I think that\u2019s what bothered me,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“I was a little jealous of the fact that they were getting all this attention and, all of a sudden, the football game was the sideshow. So, yeah, maybe I let jealousy get the best of me.”<\/p>\n

Kelly admitted to being a long-time fan of Swift and appreciated the positivity of her music. Reflecting on her earlier comments, she realized they were rooted in jealousy issues.<\/p>\n

“I was like, why did it come off that way? Or why was I feeling that way? And it really was. I had some jealousy issues of the fact that she all of a sudden became the main show in NFL football \u2013 or their relationship. And I watch my husband work his a– off, and I watch all these guys who play for the league work their a–es off. And, all of a sudden, they\u2019re like the sideshow. So, that’s where that kind of came from.”<\/p>\n

Looking back, Kelly praised the NFL\u2019s focus on Swift and its impact on attracting a larger audience, one that her daughters could also relate to.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
