Sure, all parents have expectations of what they hope their children might become,\u00a0 But Mary Perry Hudson, Katy Perry’s mom, is prehaps feeling that disappointment on a different level as her daughter continues to strut, prance and flit her way to international success. Hudson, who works in Christian ministry,\u00a0had hoped that her daughter would follow in her Christian faith and\u00a0 according to the New York Post,\u00a0Hudson has shopped around a memoir<\/a> detailing her disappoint with her prodigal daughter. In the alleged proposal Hudson supposedly details her disappointment with the way Katy dresses and mentions her desire that Katy use her charisma to minister as a faith healer.<\/p>\n

Since that article , however, Katy’s father has said <\/a>\u00a0that Mary Perry Hudson\u00a0is not trying to sell a book about her daughter because he and his wife have no desire to hurt their daughter with a salacious tell-all.<\/p>\n

Hopefully that’s true. Maybe they’ve looked at other celeb parent-child riffs -Jennifer Aniston and her mom, Meg Ryan and her mom, Angelina Jolie and her dad – and decided to hold out hope that Perry, as she once mentioned in a Beliefnet interview, is still on a spiritual journey <\/a>\u00a0that may lead her back to her roots.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
