As Queen Camilla celebrates her 77th birthday, her focus is elsewhere, according to royal experts. As King Charles continues his royal duties amid his battle with cancer, Camilla is reportedly “worried” for Charles’ health. “Camilla has been a rock for the king as he battles cancer,” said Christopher Andersen, author of\u00a0“The King.” “But she has grown weary of his behind-the-scenes complaining,” he claimed. “She worries that he is not following doctors\u2019 orders as closely as he should. She is concerned that Charles\u2019 headstrong ways may be impeding his path to a full recovery. Any brief respite from the workload she has taken on is welcome, although despite Camilla\u2019s trademark toothy grin, you can still see the strain. It\u2019s etched on her face.” Anderson added, “While the king looks ruddy-faced and relatively robust, it\u2019s really anybody\u2019s guess how well he is doing medically.”<\/p>\n

Charles, 75, returned to his royal duties in April after taking a few months off to focus on his cancer treatment. The King’s first public engagement since February was with Camilla visiting a cancer treatment charity. He and Camilla met with patients and staff at the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre in London during their visit. The palace previously said that doctors were “very encouraged” by the king\u2019s progress, but his schedule would be adjusted as needed to protect his recovery. “Queen Camilla is a constant rock to her husband King Charles and is dedicated to her life of service,” royal photographer Helena Chard said of the royal couple. “She works like a Trojan supporting the monarchy and is even working on her 77th birthday,” said Chard. “She is radiant in white on her special day and is center stage as she joins King Charles at the State Opening of Parliament\u2026 I\u2019m sure she never envisaged working on her 77th birthday and is looking forward to a much-needed quiet relaxing birthday cheer with her family, without the glare of camera flashes.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
