Everybody is Twilight-focused these days, even the high fashion magazines apparently. Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella, the star-crossed love interest of Edward Cullen, the world’s most famous vampire, in the Twilight movies, has the cover of the latest issue of Vogue. They have a lengthy feature<\/a> about Kristen Stewart’s life and filming ‘Breaking Dawn,’ the two-film adaptation of book four in the series. They interviewed her on-location in Louisiana.
\nApparently, Eve MacSweeney reports, Stewart wasn’t exactly looking forward to going back to the grind of filming Twilight–and she feels an overwhelming pressure to please the millions of fans of the series. MacSweeney writes:
\n“Installing herself in Baton Rouge for the foreseeable future was “like going back to school. . . . Twilight is a different beast.” A massive production planned to the millisecond and freighted with dollar signs waiting to happen, Breaking Dawn brings several years of Stewart’s life to a climax. She feels the weight of portraying Bella Swan, “a character who is embedded in so many people’s psyches at this point. It’s starting to enter my head a lot more than it used to because it’s at the end and it’s come such a long way. I just want the fans of the book to be happy.” She laughs. “I don’t necessarily care about anyone else.””
\nThough, Stewart is careful not to knock the series either–she seems aware that Twilight is responsible for her recent celebrity, for better or worse.
\n“Stewart,” writes MacSweeney, “who is careful never to complain about the mixed blessing of the Twilight phenomenon, is smart enough to understand the nature of her particular celebrity. “Masses of girls identified with Bella in a really profound way, for want of a better word,” she says. “The connection that I’ve seen people have . . . I’ve seen it physically. It’s the characters they’re flipping for.””
\nVogue is truly Stewart-happy with this cover-feature, since you can flip through about a million slides of this on-screen Bella in every outfit she’s ever worn. For Twilight fans that can’t wait for part one of ‘Breaking Dawn,’ this piece is a must.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
