\nI can’t believe I am going to say this, but I almost feel sorry for Kanye West . Almost. Here it is not quite one year after his debacle at the VMAs where he went on stage and crudely ruined Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech and Kanye West is still apologizing<\/a>. Well, sort of. He took to Twitter obstensibly as a means to say how sorry he was for the way he embarrassed Swift. Yet even Kanye’s apologies become all about him, as he tweeted about the damage and pain he suffered personally and professionally from the event. In one tweet he said “How deep is the scar… I bled hard.. cancelled tour with the number one pop star in the world … closed the doors of my clothing office.”
\nOh, Kanye. Don’t you know that most girls would love to just have a simple- private- note of apology and some flowers over a celebrity tweet the whole world can read? Hasn’t anyone told you humility does not come in the form of more whining and complaining? When will you realize true repentance means change and your fans as well as your detractors don’t want to hear about change- they want to see it.
\nI know, Kanye. Baby steps. Baby steps. And I guess you did take a baby step when your final tweet on the matter said two simple words: “I’m sorry.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
