The Oklahoma Sooners took the world by surprise at last year\u2019s softball Women\u2019s College World Series and did the same this year to win the World Series in a 4-peat thanks to their talent and bold faith on the field. Sports Spectrum reported that third baseman Alyssa Brito, who was part of the championship team last year, \u201cis hitting .406 with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs while leading the team in hits, OPS and slugging percentage. She went 3 for 3 with two home runs and a double in the first of Oklahoma\u2019s two wins over Florida State in the Super Regionals.<\/p>\n

Through her time at OU, Brito shared with Sports Spectrum in 2023 that her \u201ctrust in God has grown so much more, and I feel like that\u2019s shaped me as a person more now, knowing that I can just be who I am on the field and off the field. She added, \u201cI just feel like getting the opportunity to be different and bring attention to the Kingdom and have conversations about Christ, I think that\u2019s definitely made me feel more confident in my faith.\u201d More importantly, Brito has been a shining light for Jesus for those around her.<\/p>\n
