In my recent Beliefnet interview with Ralph Winter<\/a>, he said that if Hollywood could make a sequel to “The Passion of the Christ,” they would. Well, Winter was right as usual: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Screen Gems studio<\/a> is producing a movie that recreates Jesus\u2019 resurrection and ascension into heaven 40 days later. Looking to tap into the same Christian audience that supported \u201cThe Passion,\u201d the movie is slated to be in theaters for Easter of 2007.<\/p>\n

No word on whether or not Jim Caviezel will be available to reprise his role as Jesus or when Hollywood will stop trying to link any and all movies that have a religious theme to Gibson’s epic.<\/p>\n
