Fans of the hit TV show “The Chosen” are excited after hearing the news that season four of the show will be available for streaming on June 2nd. \u201cAs always, each episode will launch with global livestreams on social media and The Chosen app,\u201d a press release reads. \u201cFollowing each livestream, season four episodes will be available exclusively in The Chosen app before coming to other viewing platforms later this year.\u201d The episodes will be released every week beginning Sunday, June 2. Over the course of four weeks, they will be unveiled on Thursdays and Sundays.<\/p>\n

Season four was released in theaters worldwide in February and March, but the release sparked questions and concerns for fans who were unable or unwilling to go to theaters to watch the show. Dallas Jenkins, creator of the show, expressed his excitement for the long-awaited release in a recent press release. \u201cThe response from those who\u2019ve seen season four in theaters was that this is our best season, so I can\u2019t wait to deliver these episodes free and easy to the world,\u201d Jenkins said. \u201cWe wanted to offer fans a chance to see it on the big screen together in theaters. But I\u2019ve maintained the show will always ultimately be available free and easy, and we\u2019re now ready for our livestreams, which are going to be bonkers this year.\u201d The statement also indicated that season four of “The Chosen” will make additional streaming debuts, with details to follow.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Jenkins took to Facebook in a 16-minute video where he gave updates about the roadblocks that they have experienced with season four. He spoke about why season four was released in theaters, the monumental cost of producing the series, and future plans for the show. \u201cOur previous path wasn\u2019t proving to be sustainable,\u201d Jenkins said of the crowdfunding model that launched \u201cThe Chosen\u201d into success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
