In a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning, Courteney Cox opened up about the loss of her “Friends” costar Matthew Perry and how she believes that he still “visits” her often. \u201cYou know, he\u2019s just so funny. He has genuinely a huge heart, obviously struggled,\u201d said Cox. \u201cI\u2019m so thankful I got to work so closely with him for so many years. He visits me a lot, if we believe in that.\u201d Perry played Chandler Bing alongside Cox’s Monica Gellar in every episode of the iconic show’s 10-year run. The interviewer asked Cox about her spirituality and how she is able to determine that her loved ones visit her, where Cox shared that she believes that her late mother, father and Perry all help guide her through life. \u201cYou know, I talk to my mom, my dad, Matthew \u2014 I feel like there are a lotta people that, I think, guide us,\u201d said Cox. \u201cI do sense, yeah, I sense Matthew\u2019s around for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n

The “Friends” cast, including Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer, released a joint statement in October 2023 when they heard of Perry’s passing. \u201cWe are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,\u201d the cast wrote. \u201cIn time we will say more, as and when we are able\u2026 For now, our thoughts and our love are with Matty\u2019s family, his friends, and everyone who loved him around the world.\u201d In the following weeks, the cast members individually shared personal stories as they remembered the life of Perry. Cox took to her Instagram two weeks after learning of Perry’s passing to reflect on a personal story she had with him. \u201cI am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here\u2019s one of my favorites,\u201d she wrote over a scene that showed the beginning of Monica\u2019s relationship with Chandler. \u201cIn this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say.
