\"\"<\/a>In an interview with Relevant Magazine, <\/em>Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey discussed his faith and how it impacts his life. He said, \u201cI\u2019m a believer. I believe in God.\u201d However, he didn\u2019t always claim that title. McConaughey explained, \u201cI had a time where I had a couple of very agnostic years. It wasn\u2019t as much as disbelieving as it was more about telling myself, \u2018Hey, quit chalking things up to fate. You have your hands on the wheel; you\u2019re responsible for your decisions.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cGod\u2019s laying out the highways, but we each have our hand on the wheel. I look at Earth. I look at the little dot that we are on the planet. The world\u2019s turning. And we\u2019re that little individual on the planet. That smallness can make you go, \u2018Oh my gosh. I\u2019m nothing. None of what I do matters.\u2019 That place of humility is actually where I realized, oh, it all matters.\u201d Still, a big part of humanity that McConaughey is still trying to figure out is the topic of free will. He explained, \u201cI\u2019m eternally fascinated with trying to get to what are the decisions we can make that are selfish and selfless at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
