The History Channel has a new show called \u201cHoly Marvels with Dennis Quaid.\u201d The show will feature some of the holiest and best-known relics of Christianity, including the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, and Noah\u2019s Ark, amongst others. The show will be narrative style and seek to educate its audience on the cultural impact of these iconic marvels. Quaid not only hosts the show but is also an executive producer. \u201cI was drawn to this project not just because of its intriguing concept but also the way it deeply connects the universal human experience of faith and belief systems. This series is a unique opportunity for me to reinvest my religious interests and investigate the rich history of these holy marvels and the importance they hold for people around the globe,\u201d said Quaid of his involvement.<\/p>\n

In a promo for the series, Quaid encourages his audience that \u201cseeing is believing.\u201d \u201cSo, it makes sense that when some of life’s biggest questions are believed to have left behind physical clues, we want to go see for ourselves. Noah’s Ark, the Holy Grail, the Ark of the Covenant, join me as we explore the facts behind some of history’s greatest leaps of faith,\u201d he states. Quaid has had a growing interest in faith-based projects as his own faith has grown. He shared with People<\/em><\/a> how his faith saved him from addiction. \u201cWhen you’re done with the addiction, you need something to fill that hole, something that really works, right?\u201d He filled that gap with faith, having grown up in church. He recently released a Gospel album called \u201cFallen: A Gospel Record For Sinners.\u201d He has also expressed how his life has improved since marrying his wife, Laura Savoie.<\/p>\n

Executive vice president and head of programming for The History Channel, Eli Lehrer, said Quaid\u2019s \u201cconnection to the subject matter adds a layer of depth and intrigue to these thought-provoking narratives of diverse spiritual practices and captivating religious experiences that will resonate with viewers.\u201d The new show is set to debut on June 3rd<\/sup> at 10pm on the History Channel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
