He claims he\u2019s being mistreated and targeted. Chrisley told the outlet he believes the restrictions are the prison\u2019s way of retaliating at him for his previous participation in public\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=inhPfXgpJiw&amp;t=3s\">interviews<\/a>\u00a0with NewsNation about the conditions he and others are being held in at the Pensacola facility.<\/p>\n<p>Chrisley claimed that the warden stopped the prison\u2019s church services because he planned to do another NewsNation interview. Since then, he claims he hasn\u2019t had the chance to attend religious services.\u00a0He further asserts that on two different occasions, priests were interrupted during the middle of services and asked to leave the prison facility\u2019s premises. Chrisley told NewsNation, \u201cThat was their way of trying to intimidate me. I just walked out and said, \u2018It ain\u2019t going to change what I\u2019m going to say.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Regarding requests to speak with his wife, Chrisley says the warden \u201cdenied it within 15 minutes of getting the request,\u201d adding that he has not spoken with his wife since arriving in Pensacola.\u00a0He said, \u201c[The warden] does not talk to me. The warden does not come around me. She does not speak to me.\u201d Chrisley alleges the warden told other prison staff to stand firm when associating with him.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/inhPfXgpJiw?si=-junfmRUEb7O_cVo\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The former TV star told the outlet, \u201c[The Warden said], \u2018unless you are afraid of doing your job, you call [Chrisley] in, you write him up, you sanction him. I want him sanctioned.\u2019\u201d A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Prisons says it \u201cdoes not comment on the conditions of confinement for any individual in custody\u201d but stressed that \u201cHumane treatment of the men and women in our custody is a top priority.\u201d BOP spokesperson Benjamin O\u2019Cone told NewsNation, \u201cIt is the mission of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bop.gov\/\">Federal Bureau of Prisons<\/a>\u00a0to operate facilities that are safe, secure and humane.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued, \u201cWe take seriously our duty to protect the individuals entrusted in our custody, as well as maintaining the safety of our employees and the community.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bop.gov\/policy\/progstat\/5360_009.pdf\">BOP guidelines<\/a>\u00a0state that \u201cinmates of all faith groups\u201d are provided \u201creasonable and equitable opportunities to pursue religious beliefs and practices, within the constraints of budgetary limitations and consistent with the security and orderly running of the institution and the Bureau of Prisons.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Todd Chrisley claimed the prison does not have a doctor or dental hygienist on staff because they \u201cresigned and left\u201d because they knew \u201cthey were falsifying medical records.\u201d The ex-TV star said he has high hopes that a release may come sooner rather than later as there are reports his wife\u2019s sentence may be shortened.\u00a0\u201cGod is going to take me out of here,\u201d Chrisley told NewsNation. \u201cGod knew when I was coming in here, and he knows when I am going out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Former reality TV star Todd Chrisley, who was convicted alongside his wife Julie Chrisley of tax evasion and bank fraud in June 2022, claims he\u2019s been prevented from attending church services as he continues to serve a 12-year sentence behind bars in Florida.
