Matthew Stafford played for the Detroit Lions for the first 12 years of his NFL career before he was traded to the Los Angeles Rams in 2021. The Lions ultimately won the playoff game 24-23, which was the team&#8217;s first playoff win since 1991. Kelly Stafford sent her support to the fans of the team her husband used to play for, but she was not happy with the boos she received from some of the fans. Kelly took to her Instagram stories the following day to address the boos she and her children received. &#8220;It\u2019s sports. The city wants to win. Everything is fair game\u2026 Except the fans who booed my children.. other than that, I loved the atmosphere and the booing just gave my husband more fire,&#8221; she wrote on her Instagram Stories on Monday. &#8220;The more you love, the more you hate. I consider it all love going both ways. And now that we are out.. I hope the Lions bring home a Lombardi to that city because the feeling is like no other. Go get it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><iframe src=\"https:\/\/share.tmz.com\/watch\/2024-01-19-011925-kelly-stafford-1761397-723\/\" width=\"560\" height=\"395\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Stafford, who won the Super Bowl for the Rams last year, was looking to get the upper hand on the team that traded him to Los Angeles for Jared Goff, but was not able to deliver in last Sunday&#8217;s game. \u201cHe\u2019s their quarterback,\u201d Stafford said about Goff&#8217;s outstanding game. \u201cHe\u2019s playing great. He led them to a win today. I\u2019m happy for him. I thought he played excellent today. He\u2019s leading an offense that\u2019s playing at a really good clip right now, and they should be proud of him. They should be cheering for him.\u201d When asked about returning to Ford field in Detroit, Stafford said, \u201cIt was a good playoff atmosphere. Obviously, it was a loud crowd. I thought we did a great job communicating the whole day.\u201d Stafford concluded with his well wishes to the Lions players saying, \u201cI\u2019m happy for the players.
