Stroud did not shy away from sharing his faith after the Texans suffered a tough playoff loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Stroud was asked how he gets through these moments, saying his faith is what he leans on. &#8220;It\u2019s what I lean on through thick and thin,&#8221; Stroud told reporters. &#8220;I know I\u2019m upset right now, but I\u2019m really just blessed looking back on this year, this opportunity we had today to play in front of millions of people. I\u2019m just really grateful to God on all the opportunities He\u2019s blessed me with.&#8221; He continued, &#8220;I\u2019m just gonna lean on Him and I know that this isn\u2019t the end for me. It\u2019s a lot of more football for me to play, and I\u2019m just excited for that. And I\u2019m super blessed with the guys who I lined up with every week this year. And I\u2019m just really thankful to God on how much he\u2019s brought me from \u2013 I can go all the way to when I was a kid to college to Week 1 to now. I\u2019ve grown as a person and as a man of God in a lot of different ways. In November, Stroud was in the midst of the MVP conversation, where he said that all he can do is pray about it. &#8220;For me, it\u2019s a lot of prayer,&#8221; Stroud explained. &#8220;A lot of knowing that God wouldn\u2019t put anything on me that I can\u2019t handle. I don\u2019t deserve His grace and His mercy, but He still gives it to me and I love Him for that. It\u2019s not about me, it\u2019s about Him and His glory.
