Christmas season means Christmas movies, and actor Dean Cain has a new film, “<\/span>Bringing Back Christmas<\/span><\/a>,” that is available for streaming. The former “Lois and Clark” star plays the “callous jerk” who lays off the main character, Daniel Reece (played by Mark Christopher Lawrence) just two weeks before Christmas. Speaking to\u00a0<\/span>Fox News<\/span><\/em><\/a>, Cain said the film bore some resemblance to classic Christmas flicks like “A Christmas Carol,” but with its own flair. “I guess there’s a little bit of a Scrooge element to it, but it’s more about like seeing what was going on Christmastime back in the day when it was baby Jesus. \u2026 But it’s done with a very humorous, humorous twist,” he said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cain had his own things to say about the Christmas season for him personally. “Christmas, for me, is one of those things outside of any religious connotation, which \u2026 I think it’s very important: the birth of Jesus and celebrating his birth. But if it’s outside of that, just for everyone to reach out to everyone, it’s a time for families to come together. It’s a time to reflect on the past year and things that’s been going on in life. And it makes it a wonderful, wonderful time,” he said. This past year has brought big changes for Cain, who left California and will be celebrating his first Christmas at his new home just outside of Las Vegas. “Everybody’s coming out,” he said. “I can’t wait to have everybody here and just spend time together as a family and just celebrate each other and celebrate being together and have that warmth and wonderful time together. I just cannot wait for it.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He has embraced his new life in Las Vegas, enjoying the tight-knit community he has found. “Every house has got lights and Christmas lights on. I say hi to my neighbors every day. They say hi to me. I wave at 17 different cars if I’m out front with my little dog, you know. … So, it’s a wonderful, small communal feeling. And that’s what this whole area feels like to me; like a small town outside of the Strip.” Cain isn’t the only celebrity to leave California, either. Star\u00a0<\/span>Mark Wahlberg<\/span><\/a>\u00a0also made the move, saying he wanted to give his family a better life. Cain shared that family has been on his mind, too. “I’ve been traveling so hard, working so hard and doing so much, I think I’m just going to bring it down,” he said. “Traveling is great, but the amount of travel that I do is ridiculous. So, I would like that to be the case. Stay around, my folks. My dad just turned 80 this year, and they live five minutes away. So, take a little more time to slow it down for myself.
