Kel Mitchell says he\u2019s thankful to be on the road to recovery after being hospitalized. The 45-year-old actor took to Instagram to share an update on his health after a \u201cgenuinely frightening\u201d medical episode, the cause of which is currently unknown.<\/p>\n

TMZ was the first to report that the \u201cGood Burger 2\u201d star had been hospitalized, adding that Mitchell was admitted to a Los Angeles-area hospital via the emergency room. Confirming that he\u2019s back at home, Mitchell wrote, \u201cGrateful for the flood of prayers and positive vibes that surrounded me during a genuinely frightening time. That scare was real, but so was the support. With the grace of God and the skill of the medical team, I\u2019m now on the road to recovery at home, embraced by the love of my family.\u201d<\/p>\n

He concluded his post to his 1.2 million followers, \u201cYour kindness has been a lifeline, and I can\u2019t thank you enough. Much love to each of you.\u201d Mitchell\u2019s comments section was soon filled with well wishes, with actor\u00a0Damon Wayans Jr.\u00a0writing, \u201cGlad you\u2019re feeling better, my brother,\u201d while actress\u00a0Yvette Nicole Brown\u00a0added, \u201cGlad you\u2019re on the mend, friend!\u201d<\/p>\n
