According to Spectrum, Daniel and Anders played the same position in the same NFL football game for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>Anders is a perfect seven-for-seven and 10-for-10 on extra points in five games. Meanwhile, Daniel is five for seven on field goals and eight-for-eight on points after touchdowns. Both brothers are outspoken and professing Christians despite having a shared career in professional football. Anders describes himself as a &#8220;Believer&#8221; on Instagram and typically captions his posts with references to God or Bible verses. On X, Daniel&#8217;s bio includes the Bible verse Proverbs 3:5-6, which reads, &#8220;Trust in the Lord with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The Carlson brothers, originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, were raised in the faith by their parents, Jodie and Hans. In a 2018 interview, Daniel said, &#8220;It is such a cool, surreal experience to look back on all that God has given me. Playing is my form of worship. It is how I glorify Him. And all of this is so much better than I ever expected.&#8221; This past May, he told the <em>Colorado Springs Gazette<\/em> that his identity is found in God over football.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6E8cx5bqByQ?si=iFBT7zyV34w8tynJ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>He told the outlet, &#8220;I think the biggest thing for me is just knowing my identity. I think for me, faith is a really big thing. My current thing I&#8217;m doing is football, but that&#8217;s not who I am. I&#8217;m just focused on the things I can control, but knowing my identity is not in football, it&#8217;s in God.&#8221; In their most recent games, Anders and his Green Bay Packers lost to the Denver Broncos, while Daniel&#8217;s Raiders lost to the New England Patriots.<\/p>\n<p>Both brothers attended Auburn, and now that they&#8217;re in the NFL, they&#8217;ve learned a lot from the same coach: Rich Bisaccia.\u00a0Bisaccia is now the Packers special teams coordinator, but he spent four seasons with Daniel in Las Vegas as the Raiders&#8217; special teams coach (and he was even the team&#8217;s interim head coach for a brief stint).\u00a0&#8220;They&#8217;re both really good players, and they&#8217;re both playing well right now, so it should be great for their family,&#8221; Bisaccia said via Madison.com. &#8220;Hopefully, it&#8217;s better for us.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The most recent brothers to kick in the NFL simultaneously would be the Gramaticas. Martin spent 10 seasons in the NFL (1999-2008) while his brother Bill was in the league for four years (2001-04).
