Detroit Lions linebacker Alex Anzalone provided a positive update about his parents. Anzalone shared on X <\/a>\u00a0that his parents, Sal and Judy Anzalone, were en route to Florida and have since returned home after their church trip to Israel coincided with a Hamas terrorist attack on Israeli civilians that sparked violence across the region.<\/p>\n

Anzalone previously wrote on X that they were “headed home safely.” He wrote, “Thank you to everyone who has been saying prayers for my family and their safety. It’s been a scary, anxiety-filled several days, but my parents are headed home safely.” He concluded, “So many people to thank, but I know this: God is good.” Members from the First Naples Church in Florida posted on social media that they were back on U.S. soil.<\/p>\n

First Naples church pastor Alan Brumback also confirmed in a post on Facebook<\/a> that the group had touched down in Miami. \u201cThank you to everyone who prayed for and reached out to us,\u201d Brumback\u2019s message read in part. \u201cWe are so grateful to be back in the USA.\u201d A 53-person group had traveled to the Middle Eastern nation. Anzalone told The Detroit News<\/em>\u00a0about his parents\u00a0after their win against the Carolina Panthers.<\/p>\n

He pleaded with President Biden on X to help get his parents home but later deleted the post. “My parents are in this group. Please get my parents home\u2026 @POTUS,” he wrote on X in response to Rep. Byron Donalds’\u00a0appearance on “Sunday Morning Futures.”<\/a><\/p>\n

Thank you to everyone who has been saying prayers for my family and their safety. It\u2019s been a scary, anxiety filled several days but my parents are headed home safely. So many people to thank but I know this, God is good.<\/p>\n
