It shows no signs of abating and so, alas, I shall keep posting about it.<br \/>\nThe latest newsbit: <a href=\"http:\/\/hollywoodinsider.ew.com\/2009\/02\/twilight-news-d.html\" target=\"_blank\">EW has hinted that Drew Barrymore is on a seriously short list within Summit Entertainment to direct the third book in the &#8220;Twilight&#8221; Series: &#8220;Eclipse&#8221;<\/a>. My immediate reaction is: PLEASE NO! Barrymore has a series of real misses as far as I&#8217;m concerned (she produced the &#8220;Charlie&#8217;s Angels&#8221; movies which I could not stand), and while she has some cute films I&#8217;ve enjoyed (&#8220;Fever Pitch&#8221; and &#8220;Never Been Kissed&#8221;), cute is really not the feeling I imagine &#8220;Eclipse&#8221; going for.<br \/>\nCan Barrymore evoke the angsty, star-crossed moods of Bella and Edward? I think not. And I&#8217;m surprised to find out she&#8217;s even come up as a possible director.
