Christian musician and songwriter Lauren Daigle recently revealed that her song Rescue was based on a vision from God about a woman she hadn\u2019t met yet.<\/p>\n

Daigle recently joined Bart Millard, Steven Curtis Chapman, Anne Wilson, and Michael Cochren onstage at the K-Love Fan Awards\u2019 \u201cSongwriters Showcase\u201d in Nashville. Churchleaders.com reports that each musician performed three songs. One of the songs Daigle chose to perform was \u201cRescue\u201d from her 2018 album \u201cLook Up Child.\u201d Daigle also revealed the inspiration for the song.<\/p>\n

Daigle told the audience, \u201cI got this picture of this girl that I didn\u2019t know, hadn\u2019t met her, but it was a very clear, clear vision of someone that was experiencing drug addiction.\u201d Daigle reiterated the fact that she didn\u2019t know this person.<\/p>\n

However, Daigle shared that a woman approached her years later and said the song changed her life. She recalled the woman saying, \u201cI ended up going to rehab, and I used your song.\u201d Daigle said, \u201cI remember seeing this person and thinking, \u2018Oh my gosh, she doesn\u2019t even know that this is exactly how the song was written.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n
