Thirteen-year-old Malakai Bayoh recently received the coveted Golden Buzzer during his \u201cBritain\u2019s Got Talent\u201d audition after singing a religious tune. Bayoh blew away the audience and judges with his version of \u201cPie Jesu.\u201d Simon Cowell gave him the Golden Buzzer, meaning he automatically advanced to the next round.<\/p>\n

The teen first entered music through his church at St. George\u2019s Cathedral. He shared, \u201cMy mum made me join my local choir when I was 7 years old. And after that, I joined my secondary school, and with that, there came opportunities to do operas, concerts, etc.\u201d He said he hopes to become an opera singer in the future.<\/p>\n

Bayoh is not the only young person who has impressed talent show judges with a powerful performance of a religious song. Eleven-year-old Madison Baez Taylor wowed the judges on \u201cAmerica\u2019s Got Talent\u201d and also earned the coveted Golden Buzzer after her stunning performance. While filming the talent show, the audience members get the chance to jump onstage and sing during commercial breaks. Taylor, a contestant who got to trick the judges, went up and sang \u201cAmazing Grace.\u201d<\/p>\n
