Danielle took to Instagram to thank everyone who voted for her and to give a shoutout to Lauren Daigle, who serves as an inspiration to her. &#8220;A HUGE shout out to @lauren_daigle !!! Thank you for writing this song. You\u2019re such an inspiration and I\u2019ll never give up,&#8221; Danielle wrote in her caption.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/O--qcq2mfUk\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Back in February, Danielle auditioned in front of the judges with Daigle&#8217;s song, &#8220;You Say,&#8221; where Daigle gave her a surprise visit. Daigle, who is an &#8220;American Idol&#8221; alum, sang her song with Danielle before the judges gave told the 21-year-old that she would be advancing to the next round of the competition. In her audition tape, Danielle spoke about how her grandparents were a huge reason why she began pursing Christian music. She shared that she used to be in a band that performed mostly at bars before her grandmother pulled her aside to ask, &#8220;This isn&#8217;t what you&#8217;re supposed to be doing.&#8221; She also recalled her grandfather asking her, &#8220;How can you sing for God and sing for this?&#8221; This led Danielle to focus on Christian music completely.
