Here’s another sign that our soon-to-be 44th president is hip (and it’s not just his suave fashion sense): Barack Obama has been reading Stephenie Meyer’s “Twilight” series with his 10-year-old daughter, Malia<\/a>. <\/p>\n

While “Twilight” skews toward an older teen and adult audience, it’s refreshing to know that Obama and his daughter enjoy reading together. (They have both finished the “Harry Potter” series, too.)<\/p>\n

As fellow Idol Chatter blogger Ellen Leventry wrote, even other dads enjoy reading “Twilight”<\/a> because it has allowed them to bond with their daughters about what they believe is the “perfect” guy. Will reading “Twilight” lead Malia to discuss quallities she would like in a future boyfriend? It seems strange to think so, but there is potential as she grows older. <\/p>\n
