For instance, while using my blog to voice my disappointment with someone is entirely possible (although it’s not my daily aim), I doubt I’d get into a fight with my father on the Internet for all to see. Then again, he wouldn’t voice his disapproval of my romantic choices in an interview with E!. I also probably will not be sent to rehab for sex addiction anytime soon. These pieces of news don’t necessarily make me morally superior. But they do make me not Lindsay Lohan <\/a>and not David Duchovny<\/a>.
\n“‘If you have something to say to me, say it to my face — that’s what I have believed my whole life — don’t be a coward and say it to others first, let alone all the media in the world,’ Lohan wrote” (as she said it to others, telling her father how she felt through all the media in the world).
\nMeantime, “X-Files” and “Californication” actor David Duchovny (he with the rabid fan base that yielded the fan song (and celebrity-studded video) “David Duchovny, Why Won’t You Love Me<\/a>“) has voluntarily checked into rehab for sex addiction<\/a>. According to the current reports<\/a>, the addiction may have been about pornography and not about an affair. But in either case, wife Tea Leoni is supporting her husband, even as news sources are almost gleefully noting the connection between Duchovny’s addiction and his “Californication” character’s promiscuity. (Why not also note that his “Sex and the City” character was Carrie’s high school boyfriend who had been institutionalized?)<\/p>\n


\nIn other news, the living members of the Grateful Dead reunited to play for Obama<\/a> and Bill Clinton got stuck in an elevator <\/a>at the DNC.
\nLastly, Dr. Dre’s 20 year-old-son, Andre Young, Jr., was found dead<\/a> last week by his mother, but no immediate cause of death was ruled, pending toxicology reports. Idol Chatter wishes the family healing and comfort.
