Two teenage assailants approached Robinson on a crowded Washington D.C. street lined with restaurants and bars. They were brandishing guns and intended to rob the\u00a0Washington Commanders<\/a>\u00a0rookie running back, police say.<\/p>\n Robinson fended off one attacker. The other shot Robinson twice, one bullet striking his right glute and the other passing through his right knee. Robinson\u2019s injuries weren\u2019t deemed life-threatening, but paramedics treated him on the scene and transported him to the hospital.<\/p>\n The potentially deadly encounter put his football career in question and forced him into a difficult recovery. \u201cThat was probably the lowest point I\u2019ve ever been in my life,\u201d Robinson recently\u00a0admitted<\/a>.<\/p>\n But less than two months later, he was back on the field.
