Actor and comedian, Leslie Jordan tragically passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, just a day after posting a video to his Instagram of him singing a Christian hymn. Jordan, a devout Southern Baptist, experienced an unknown medical emergency while driving, which resulted in the fatal car crash.<\/p>\n

His death was confirmed by Jordan’s agent, David Shaul. “The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,” Shaul said. “Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times.” Shaul added by saying, “What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”<\/p>\n

Just the day before Jordan’s passing, he posted a singing video to his Instagram where he sang the Christian hymn “When The Roll Is Called Up Yonder.” Jordan sang, “When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound and time shall be no more \/ And the morning breaks, eternal, bright and fair. When the saved of Earth shall gather over on the other shore \/ And the roll is called up yonder, I\u2019ll be there.” The video attracted comments from mourning fans and friends. “Now that\u2019s how you say good bye. Soar high my friend,” NSYNC singer Lance Bass.<\/p>\n
