A New York pastor warns Christians to be wary of the new show \u201cLittle Demon,\u201d a controversial cartoon about Satan airing on Disney-owned FXX. Mike Signorelli, the senior pastor of V1 Church in New York City, told CBN\u2019s Faithwire that he believes the series is an effort to normalize anti-biblical sentiment.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey are trying to desensitize us and our kids to the demonic. It\u2019s that simple. We\u2019ve seen that over and over and over again,\u201d he said. \u201cBut a show comes out, and the attempt is to make something [normal] that biblically is not normal \u2014 trying to accept something God clearly opposes, and it\u2019s disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLittle Demon<\/a>,\u201d an animated show about a woman who mates with Satan and produces the antichrist, is raising eyebrows and making cultural waves. Signorelli believes the show has \u201can agenda\u201d and warned that \u201cLittle Demon\u201d is potentially poised to attract younger viewers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a war spiritually going on,\u201d he said. \u201cThe book of Ephesians talks about it, and our kids will be the casualties. There\u2019s a fight over a generation. They\u2019re going to tell you it\u2019s an adult show, but we all know that children want to watch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Signorelli said the cartoon format and the fact that one of the main characters is a young teen makes the show \u201chighly relatable to kids\u201d when children are \u201cmaking decisions about their identity.\u201d The preacher also said the animated show\u2019s release is a telling sign exposing the dire state of American culture. Beyond that, he warned about some of the violent elements in the show.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are the effects of desensitizing people and normalizing these images?\u201d Signorelli asked. \u201cFirst, it starts out like a joke, but then when you have to deal with the repercussions of feeding this content to the masses. It\u2019s not that funny anymore.\u201d<\/p>\n
