Now she&#8217;s written a book, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/My-Stroke-Insight-Scientists-Personal\/dp\/0670020745\/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&amp;s=books&amp;qid=1211726483&amp;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\">My Stroke of Insight<\/a>,&#8221; detailing how the left brain is what gets in the way of our happiness, and everyone from The New York Times to Oprah Winfrey is jumping on Dr. Taylor&#8217;s bandwagon.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nIn The New York Times article &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2008\/05\/25\/fashion\/25brain.html?pagewanted=1&amp;ref=fashion\" target=\"_blank\">A Superhighway to Bliss<\/a>,&#8221; Leslie Kaufman details the story of Dr. Taylor&#8217;s stroke, which led to her discovery that &#8220;people can choose to live a more peaceful, spiritual life by sidestepping their left brain.&#8221; Taylor explained to Kaufman:<br \/>\n&#8220;Generally, the left brain gives us context, ego, time, logic. The right brain gives us creativity and empathy.
