In an interview with Daily Mail, she said that she lived her life \u201cbeing angry,\u201d which greatly impacted her political views.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cI was the angry, conservative, black woman,\u201d Dash told the\u00a0<\/span><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Daily Mail.<\/span><\/em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0\u201cAnd, at that time in my life, it was who I was. I realized that in 2016 that anger is unsustainable, and it will destroy you. I made a lot of mistakes because of that anger.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dash also told the Daily Mail that there are several things that she is sorry for, specifically comments she made that she now believes she should not have made.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cThey were very arrogant and prideful and angry,\u201d Dash expressed. \u201cAnd that\u2019s who Stacey was, but that\u2019s not who Stacey is now. Stacey\u2019s someone who has compassion, empathy. God has forgiven me. How dare I not forgive someone else. I don\u2019t want to be judged, so how dare I judge anyone else. So if anyone has ever felt that way about me \u2013 like I\u2019ve judged \u2013 that I apologize for, because that\u2019s not who I am.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Capitol riot was a big turning point for Dash who ran for Congress in 2018. She said supporting Trump put her \u201cin some kind of box that I don\u2019t belong in.\u201d She also described the riot as \u201cappalling and stupid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWhen that I happened, I was like, \u2018OK, I\u2019m done. I\u2019m truly done,\u201d Dash said. \u201cBecause senseless violence of any kind I denounce. What happened on Jan. 6 was just appalling and stupid.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dash said she is \u201cnot a victim\u201d and recognized her position when she worked for Fox.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u201cWorking for Fox at the time, that was my job. I did my job from the place I was at,\u201d Dash said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Today, she says she would never work for Fox News or any news outlet again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Dash currently has no plan to return to the political arena; however, she isn\u2019t staying away from controversial issues altogether. She is starring in the new, pro-life movie \u201cRoe v.
