Earlier this week, actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson revealed through an Instagram video<\/a> that his family all tested positive for the novel coronavirus, but are recently recovered.\u00a0 He thanked God for his family’s health and said he is counting his blessings.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am happy to tell you guys that we as a family are good. We are on the other end of it,\u201d Johnson said in the video. \u201cWe\u2019re on the other side and we are no longer contagious. We are, thank God, healthy. We have gotten through COVID-19 stronger and healthier. Believe me, I am counting my blessings.\u201d<\/p>\n

Johnson, 48, added that the experience was a difficult time for the family. His wife Lauren, and his two baby girls, all tested positive after mingling with close family friends that got it from an unknown source.<\/p>\n

“I can tell you that this has been one of the most challenging and difficult things that we have ever had to endure as a family and for me personally. … And I’ve gone through some doozies in the past.”<\/p>\n

\u201cMy number one priority is to always protect my family, protect my children, my loved ones,” he said. “So this was a real kick in the gut.\u201d<\/p>\n

“The Rock” followed up with tips for staying clear of the virus. He encouraged his fans to wear masks, stay committed to their health, do what they can to boost their immune system, and have guests undergo COVID-19 testing before welcoming them into your home.<\/p>\n

“It has nothing to do with politics: Wear your mask,” Johnson said. “I am sending you guys so much love and so much mana, and stay healthy, my friends. And thank you for all the love and support.”<\/p>\n

\u201cIt baffles me that some people out there \u2014 including some politicians \u2014 will take this idea of wearing masks and make it part of a political agenda,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

His announcement comes as coronavirus around the world continues to increase.<\/p>\n
