The former NBA star turned his life over to Christ and he can\u2019t stop praising Jesus!<\/p>\n

He was close to death, now he has found new life in Jesus.<\/p>\n

In an Instagram post, he shared that he \u201cgot saved\u201d in 2019 at The Word Church.<\/p>\n

Odom shared how grateful he is to be walking with the Lord and the blessing of being alive.<\/p>\n

His girlfriend at the time, Sabrina Parr was super supportive, being right by his side during this process. She commented under his post:<\/p>\n

Nothing better than a man of God! Keeping pushing through life baby!! God willing I\u2019ll be right here by your side!!!!<\/p>\n

Odom is candid about his struggle with drugs and alcohol in his memoir, \u201cDarkness to Light.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a May interview with CNN, Odom shared that strength in God helped him through one of the darkest periods of his life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strength in God, the strength in my family for never giving up on me, that\u2019s who I live for now,\u201d he said. \u201cI lived selfishly for a long time. I\u2019ll be an addict for as long as I live. When you\u2019re sober, you\u2019re present. And when you\u2019re present, you kind of understand the consequences and repercussions of what you do, and therefore I have no will to do any drug that isn\u2019t marijuana. I understand the consequences and repercussions of getting high.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cI\u2019m trying to go forward and trying to move forward. If I do drugs, that\u2019s moving backyards. If I live moving backwards, that means I\u2019m living to die.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clearly, God is still working miracles in His life. What a beautiful thing!<\/p>\n
