The former Disney Channel star just released a new controversial music video with producer Mark Ronson that many Christians are calling offensive and blasphemous.<\/p>\n

In the Nothing Breaks Like a Heart video, Cyrus is seen driving away from cops in a police chase. During the police pursuit, the car takes a detour to a strip club and a firing range.<\/p>\n

Protesters lining the road in support of Cyrus during the police chase include a group of nuns and someone dressed like Jesus. Two women in a hot tub also lean in to kiss each other during the video.<\/p>\n

In the video, Cyrus also witnesses children firing guns and priests watching women who are all in some form of undress.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe video alludes to many of the political and social issues in America right now,\u201d The Sun said. It features football players kneeling, an apparent reference to athletes\u2019 protests of the national anthem.<\/p>\n

While the video appears to try to take on some of the big social issues of today, like the sex abuse scandal plaguing the Catholic Church, as Clare Chretien writes for Life Site, these cases involve pederast priests preying on younger males.<\/p>\n

If Cyrus\u2019 intention was bringing light to this topic, she seemed to miss the mark.<\/p>\n

While some may see the video as socially relevant, others believe it was a bit tone deaf and outright offensive to Christians.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother music video that attacks Christians, my, how edgy,\u201d said Dan Gainor, vice president of culture and business at the Media Research Center. \u201cMiley jams every lefty talking point she could into her latest song \u2013 kids shooting guns, athletes kneeling, and priests lusting after women in a strip club. It\u2019s all meant to talk about a broken world and instead underlines how broken pop culture has become.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the end of Cyrus\u2019 ride, the singer alludes to Jesus by posing as if she was being crucified. The car itself provides a cross-like shape behind her.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe video ends with Miley standing above the ground, arms outstretched like Jesus,\u201d Gainor added. \u201cCan you imagine a pop singer mocking Islam or even Wicca like this? Media would never let her get away with that.”<\/p>\n
